FIRST AID AT WORK

Students require 100% attendance to the course and must pass a practical exam (including oral questions on underpinning knowledge) to receive certification for the purposes for the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (1981). This certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

BASIC SKILLS REFRESHER

3 HOURS

The HSE “highly recommend” that all First Aiders (including “Emergency First Aid at Work” certificate holders) attend an annual skills refresher course.

The course refreshes the participants with the practical skills of First Aid. This will ensure maximum effectiveness of use, should the situation arise.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK

6 HOURS

Students require 100% attendance to receive certification which is valid for 3 years from date of issue. The HSE highly recommend the 3 hour “basic skills refresher” course is conducted every 12 months.

  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation 
  • First Aid for the Unconscious Casualty 
  • First Aid for Wounds and Bleeding 
  • Dealing with Common Medical Conditions

A.E.D. (Automated External Defibrillation)

6 HOURS

Students require 100% attendance to the course. They must pass a practical and written test to receive certification which is valid for 180 days from date of issue.
